Do you qualify for a Solar PV grant?

SEAI has a grant available for retrofitting Solar PV to houses built before 2021. To qualify for this, grant the installation must be carried out by an SEAI registered installer, such as Green Electric.

Who is eligible for the SEAI Solar Grant:

All homeowners, including private landlords

Homes built and occupied before 31st December 2020

No previous funding for Solar PV at this MPRN

There is also a post works BER required, but don’t worry, we can organise this for you.

How much can I claim?

The grant is paid on a pro rata basis e.g. for a 2.5kWp system the grant value would be €1,725. The total Solar PV grant is capped at €2,100.

This SEAI grant, where you can claim up to €2,100, transforms Solar PV installation into an affordable option for many more households across Ireland. The Government recently cut the rate of VAT on the supply and installation of solar panels from 13.5% to ZERO%

Grants are reducing every year by €300 and will be abolished by 2028 so get your solar installation today.
